Vic: Adventurer arrives in Chile for treatment
MELBOURNE, Feb 8 AAP - Victorian antarctic adventurer Peter Bland was airlifted to
Chile today, for hospital treatment after falling down a crevasse more than a week ago.
He was met at the airport by his wife and baby daughter and was said to be in good spirits.
Mr Bland, 32, broke five ribs in the fall and sustained serious injuries to his foot and hip.
He spent 40 hours in the crevasse before rescuers were able to free him, and another
